Activities
View Activity GroupsHike
Meet at the Baldy Bus Loop at 4:30 PM for a 4:45 PM departure to River Run Lodge, where you’ll gear up with snowshoes and begin the hike to The Roundhouse. Please bring your headlamp from your welcome bag, wear waterproof hiking boots and bring gloves, a hat, sunglasses, a backpack, and water. A change of clothes for dinner is optional. Snowshoes and poles will be provided.
Gondola
Meet at the Baldy Bus Loop by 5:30 PM for a 5:45 PM shuttle to River Run Lodge. From there, the group will take the gondola up to The Roundhouse to cheer on teammates finishing the hike.
Ski/Snowboard Lessons
Departure Details: Plan to be on the public shuttle by 8:45 AM to meet your instructors at 9:00 AM. Shuttles leave from the Baldy Bus Loop for both Dollar Mountain (Beginner) and Baldy Mountain (Intermediate).
What to Expect: Upon arrival at your respective mountain, meet your instructor and break into groups based on experience. Enjoy a half-day of guided lessons, then break for lunch on the mountain (charge to Brex).
After Lunch: Head out on your own or return to the lodge via public shuttle. Please arrive back at Sun Valley Lodge by 1:00pm.
Downhill Ski/Snowboard
Departure Details: Meet your skill level group outside at the base of River Run Lodge at 9:00am. Public shuttles depart from Baldy Bus Loop every 15 minutes.
Lunch: Grab lunch at any of the mountain restaurants as a group and charge to your Brex.
Return: Catch the public shuttle from River Run Lodge back to Sun Valley Lodge by 1:00pm.
Cooking Class
Departure Details: Meet at Baldy Bus Loop by 10:40am for a 10:45am departure.
What to Expect: Work in teams with provided ingredients and step-by-step instruction from a resident chef to prepare a custom meal. Teams will compete to create the best dish, then everyone will enjoy the food together. The activity runs from 11:00am to just after 1:00pm, giving you time to cook, eat, and crown a winning team before heading back.
Fly Fishing
Departure Details: Meet at the Baldy Bus Loop at 8:40am for a 8:45am departure to Lost River Outfitters. There you'll meet your guide, obtain your fishing license and change into the waterproof gear provided onsite before departing to the fishing location.
What to Expect: Spend the morning in an idyllic riverside mountain setting, staying warm and dry in provided waders while learning to cast and fish with an experienced local guide. The activity runs from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, returning to Sun Valley Lodge by 12:15 PM, with time to grab lunch at the Konditorei in the Sun Valley Village.
What to Bring/Wear: Warm base layers, extra warm socks, gloves, sun hat or beanie, sunglasses, sunscreen and a warm jacket. Drivers License for Fishing License.
Galena Lodge
Departure Details: Meet at the Baldy Bus Loop at 2:15pm for a 2:30pm departure to Galena Lodge (30-minute shuttle ride). Plan accordingly with your morning activity to allow time to make the shuttle.
What to Wear: Dress in breathable warm layers with waterproof boots, gloves, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen. You'll work up a sweat, so layer appropriately for the conditions. Optionally bring a change of clothes for après-showers are available onsite if needed.
What to Expect: Cell service will be unavailable at Galena Lodge, though limited Starlink access will be available. Food and beverages will be provided, and the lodge’s snack bar and merchandise store will also be open if needed.
Your cross-country, skate ski, and snowshoe gear will be ready upon arrival. You’ll head out on the trails for 1 to 1.5 hrs, then return to the lodge for afternoon après, with both indoor and outdoor options depending on the weather. Swing by the yurt in your snowshoes to warm up with some warm beverages, and afterward, for the full experience, take a sled ride down.

Curling
Departure Details: Meet at Baldy Bus Loop by 9:40am for a 9:45am departure.
What to Expect: This beginner-friendly curling lesson is your chance to try one of the coolest team sports out there—no experience needed. An experienced instructor will teach you the basics before breaking into two teams for a proper game. Stop by Grumpies in town for lunch before departing back to Sun Valley Lodge.
What to Wear: shoes with good traction and warm layers.
Important: Please sign your Waiver ahead of time.
Snowmobiling
Departure Details: Meet at Baldy Bus Loop by 8:40am for an 8:45am departure to Smiley Creek Lodge (45 min ride).
What to Expect: You'll be greeted by the team at Smiley Creek Lodge and outfitted with boots, helmet, jacket, and coveralls. After receiving instruction, maps, and safety gear, head out to explore miles of groomed backcountry terrain. Grab lunch at Smiley Creek then shuttle back to Sun Valley.
What to Bring: Warm base layers, warm hat, warm gloves, tinted goggles (if you have them), drivers license.
